She watched him intently, refusing to even blink in case she missed the spell casting.
And then...ropes! Gah!
"Diffindo!" It was the first thing that came to mind, and the ropes moved too fast for her to aim as perfectly as she would've liked, but she was pleased to see it actually cut through a couple ropes that dropped uselessly to the ground. But the rest quickly wrapped around her body, pinning her non-wand arm to her side. Thank Merlin she'd at least raised her wand arm up enough to avoid getting trapped.
Pointing her wand back at Dylan, she again cast the first thing that came to mind, "Aguamenti!" Well that didn't seem particularly useful....but maybe it would be somehow. The water shot out of her wand and headed straight for him. Was he gonna block this toooo? Penelope watched, forgetting for the moment to try to free herself from the ropes.
Dylan was impressed with how quick Penelope was to cut at the ropes. She'd raised her wand without a second thought and slashed through them...Well, some of them. A few managed to snake their way around her body...but the good news about that was her wand arm remained free.....and the duel could continue on...
In fact, the Slytherin Captain had opened his mouth to commend her efforts when suddenly there was water...and A LOT of it. He blinked over at her, surprised and soaking wet. What was that supposed to do....The look on his face must have been puzzled as he tried to work out exactly what his next move should be. Yea, he was wet from head to toe....but it wasn't too uncomfortable...
Erm.
Okay.
What Dylan had not anticipated, of course, was that the floor beneath his feet was also a wet...and the moment he tried to move too much, he nearly slipped. Distracted, he focused his wand on the water mess, deciding to go ahead and get the water cleaned up. Really, he couldn't move or do anything with water everywhere around him...
He was raising his wand again....and was about to cast...but he'd been distracted for such a long time...Had she cast something else?
