Oh, she was ready for his jinx, then...
Pausing just for a moment...Dylan pulled his wand out, pointed, and cast. "Flipendo!" After going through the motions of the wand movement, the tell-tale blue light surged from his wand tip. It reminded him, actually...that he needed to work on his nonverbal spells. Definitely wanted to perfect some of those before NEWT-time...
When the jinxes blue light bounced off the dummy, Dylan turned and high-fived Alice. They'd done the challenge like BOSSES...He was proud of them...because no one else was around to be proud of them. So...positive self affirmations. Not saying or offering any other notice, he tucked his wand back away and continued the speed drills...
His muscles were shouting swears at him...but it was okay. His brain was the boss here, THANK YOU VERY MUCH muscles...In fact, for his body's 'tude...he pushed them harder...forcing himself to go just a smidgen faster between switch-ups.
TAKE THAT, body. Hmph.
Positive self affirmations. YEAH. Alice high-fived Dylan back enthusiastically and continued the speed drills with him. It was easier for her, since she hadn't been running as long as he had, but she kept at it just as vigorously. The muscles in her legs were completely against this exercise, but she ignored it and went on. They needed three hours a week listed down on this thing, right? And no more Quidditch practices, so random activities like this would have to do.
Could she even run for three hours straight? It had already been a half hour since she started accompanying him. Keeping quiet because moving while talking would take more effort and be harder on her lungs, Alice continued for about what felt like an hour before her knees felt like jelly. That was a sign that she needed to stop, yeah?
"Dylan." Did he hear her?
"Dylan. Dylaaaaaan. I'm tired." He got her best pitiful looks.
"I want to stop. Find some other exercise to finish with this week, okay?" With that, Alice grabbed his wrist and proceeded to drag him out of the Dueling Arena and towards wherever food was.
Because replenishment was completely necessary after a workout like that.
