"Snakes! Don't have too much fun! You don't want to attract things that you can't push back." If you know what I mean.
James was looking on at a very saddened Montmorency and moved to give him a hug, when... Lafay came to burst their bubbles.

The corners of Erin's mouth twitched into the slightest irritated smile and her words were overly polite and kind, "My apologies, Hecate, but your students are champions and deserved a celebration. Annie advised against the usual celebration tent, but suggested the common room. I believe her authority is above all; however, I recognize that I should have passed it by you directly. Please accept my apologies." Though she did announce it after the game... Erin's smile was more genuine as she caught sight of the students' faces; she wasn't going to let them down. This party WOULD continue, wouldn't it? Maybe Lafay needed more reassurance... "They have been under well-trained supervision; I wouldn't leave them to a party without knowing they were to be looked after. Everything is all right."

...Well. It was ALMOST all right.

Despite the burst of adrenaline that shot through her system at the sight of the dementors, James looked for Odessa and Kinsley in concern, wanting to pinpoint their locations, then promptly flicked her wand back out of her robes before conjuring up the same thought from the previous Quidditch match, "EXPECTO PATRONUM!" The massive silvery bear erupted from the tip of her wand once more and charged the horde of dementors.

Not on her watch, dementors.
