Sure, we didn't get the last snitch, but you really helped us get the win! And that's awesome in itself, fourth place or no. Yunno?" She smiled at him, trying to get him to feel better. No one was disappointed in him whatsoever, so he definitely shouldn't be down on himself. "You want to try the slide or something?" she offered. Maybe if he had a little push into the fun zone, it would have a snowball effect on him, or so she hoped.
Aidan grunted and groaned each time someone came near him. Ethan got a groan. Dora got a groan, especially for putting on the music. Eliza DEFINITELY got a groan. Even worse, she was talking to him. At least Ethan had the decency to let a man be when he's down. But girls? Ugh. What was it with them and talking?

Also. It was all fluff. It was all nonsense. Lies and fibs and fluff. He was not great today. Good, perhaps. But a 'great' Seeker would've caught the bloody snitch, at least. That WAS the point of Seeking and all.

'Yunno?' Silly girl for asking. "No," he grunted in response.

"No," he said again, about the slide. Did he LOOK like he wanted to try the slide? He didn't. He wanted to go to his dorm. But Ethan said there'd be chicken nuggets. That was all he was here for. Honestly, those could probably make him feel better. So could sweets, if he wasn't too stubborn to eat some.

Then, that horrid chill came over him. Was it from the Slip and Slide? Did Mrs. James enchant the room colder, expecting everyone to get warm from partying? Aidan couldn't really tell. He didn't want to even sit up. Less so since that chill came about. In fact, he rolled onto his side to face the back of the couch, and curled up his legs in a fetal position.

Today was a horrible day, Eliza. How could you even think otherwise?
