"So, practice dummy, get ready!" Yep...because it could totally hear him. He knew it could. It was just faking being a lifeless dummy. Oh, the things he thought about to amuse himself with...
Breathing...focusing...concentrating...Repeat.
Simultaneously, he shouted the spell and went through the zig-zag formation with his wand. "Contego Dummy!" Dylan felt his magic moving forward as he finished the spell, and for whatever reason, he knew it had worked.
"You are UP, Alice....and don't forget to duck."
Smirk.
Rubbing her elbow and sulking slightly, Alice watched Dylan cast his shield. Landing like that HURT, you know? And looking weak was definitely enough to make a prideful Gryffindor like her extra sullen, but she was at least complying, he had to give her that much. Still cradling her arm, she pulled out her wand and cast the spell with her free hand.
"Flipendo." The fifth year traced the check mark with a squiggle pattern in the air again before ducking this time.
And she didn't go flying back.. that meant it had worked, right?
Unaware if the Jinx had hit someone else when she dodged it, Alice stood again and rubbed her arm a little more.
"Two more times, then it's my turn." SHE wanted to cast the shield now, okay, Dylan?
