He looked like he needed a hug so bad, but she just wasn't sure she could give it. Minerva loved hugs.. Hugs and flowers... and now... they took those away from her... She couldn't go near either without a panic attack. It just wasn't fair. She watched Toby and her fight got worse. She had to comfort him, but she didn't want to hug... Tears fell onto her cheeks as her brain had yet another fight on what to do. Reaching out she took a deep breath and put her arms around him very loosely.. "It's alright Toby.. Everything will be alright." Says the nonstop crier....
Suddenly there were arms.
In his regular bouncey bouncey mood, Tobias would have launched himself into the hug and smiled and bounced and squeeeeezed backed and grinned and laughed.
But he didn't
probably a good job too, not that he knew it.
Toby did, however, relax slightly into the weird but appreciated kinda hug thing and let out a long, slow, gentle sigh before turning to look at Minerva. She was all crying and now Toby felt BAD. Had HE made her cry? Was that his fault? Oh how AWFUL everything was.
His lower lip wibbled again and his eyes got all shiny but HE WAS STRONG and wouldn't cry because then he'd be making more sad and he didn't want to do this. So he nodded. Yes. He didn't believe everything WOULD be alright but if he could pretend then at that was something.
"Thanks," he whispered to her. For the hug. And being nice.
He was so upset with himself that he was upset too... he wanted to be happy because quidditch had been awesome all year. But now he just couldn't find it in him to bounce.
"I want to be bouncy again." WIBBLE.
