Hearing footsteps echo through the empty room, the Prefect turned around to see Dylan enter the room. Taking a nervous gulp from his beverage that he had in his hand (lemonade because he didn't really like butterbeer) and watched him as he sat down on the couch.

Noticing the Gryffindor outfit, Daichi suddenly remembered there had been a Quidditch match just now, one he hadn't went to because he had been studying for his NEWTs. Seriously, what had he been thinking this year?

Taking another gulp, Daichi battled with his thoughts. On one side, he wanted to leave Dylan alone and just wait for someone that he knew and liked. But on the other side he heard a voice in his head, possibly his father's, that he should go and congratulate the guy. Ugh.

Straightening his shirt, he took a deep breath and walked over to where the captain was seated. "Montmorency" he began as he looked down at the...hmm was he older than him or not? Anyways.. "I..." he bit his lower lip once. "I wanted to congratulate you on winning the Quidditch Cup and..." His hand moved to the back of his neck as he looked around the room , this time he wasn't looking at the Slytherin. "I ...wanted to say...thank you because..because i made a bet with Flamsteed that Slytherin would win the Quidditch cup and...well ...yeah" He had won the bet and had gotten the duck tie that was now around his neck.

"So yeah..." awkward pause "I'll...i'll just...go now...causebeingnicetoyouisjustweirdyes.." He mumbled these words and he walked back to the beverage table with a quick pace

His father should be proud...
