Default Ancient Runes [Post #21]
Zombie Apocalypse Team Leader ★ ★ in a crown of pepperoni and artisan cheese

Just EIGHT more...Dylan could totally push through and do EIGHT more. That number in general wasn't a big deal...Not overwhelming at all. Yep, classic self-pep talks going on here. He often did this, though...Positive affirmations for himself. Totally.

Trying to keep his momentum going, he recleared his mind so that he could get it ready to receive more runes...Which rune to do next? Come to me...Tell me which one....I'm waiting, brain.../POKE

Inhale. Exhale. Inhale. Exhale.

Jera! FINALLY, he'd gotten something. The runes weren't coming as fast now. It was like his brain was being more selective than before...and his feels for them were getting bored. NOT HELPING AT ALL. This was for his favorite class and his body would fall in line...because Dylan SAID so. So, get it together body and brain.

Jera, though...things about Jera that made it great... Dylan scanned the book entry on it...Enlightenment, peace, harmony...Harmony of all the runes currently carved into the galdr. Dylan wanted a perfect harmony among them, so they could work side by side in their individual power...Right..."Intaglio Jera...Intaglio Jera...Intaglio Jera..." Wand STILL in hand, he went about getting that bad boy carved..."Intaglio Jera...Intaglio Jera...Intaglio Jera..." He actually like this rune because it looked so Egyptian...It was clearly festive.

After finishing it...two runes passed through his thought process...Uruz....and Ehwaz....Okay...going with Ehwaz first. Sorry, brain....but it felt like the right choice. Ehwaz was also a rune he kinda loved because it was in his last name TWICE...and it looked like an ordinary 'M'. Super easy to carve. As for the energies he wanted to invoke, he'd be going with 'trust' and 'loyalty'. Dylan wanted this galdr to be a loyal galdr...because there was nothing more important than that. Not to him, anyway..."Intaglio Ehwaz...Intaglio Ehwaz...Intaglio Ehwaz...Intaglio Ehwaz..." He started carving the 'M' shape in earnest. First line....second line to the side a bit....and then the 'v' in the middle...Easy and simple. It was residing at the bottom...because all things needed to be built on it's foundation. He got started on Uruz right after finishing it, though..."Strength to clear obstacles and change circumstances..." That's what he wanted to be represented here...So, with more focus...and more concentration..he began chanting that one...and doing the carving with his wand...It'd be placed in the middle...just because it was going to look the best there.

Chanting.....chanting......chanting......

He went through the same chain of steps for the next four runes...The first of those being Gebo, the Partnership rune...and that was totally the energy he was going for. Partnership among all these very different and very powerful runes. After chanting and carving the 'X' shape...he moved onto to Inguz. 'Transformation of power for ritual use'...because it made the most sense to him...His galdr could be used in rituals. That could be awesome....After etching the lapsing side-'V' shapes, excitement started to settle in his stomach for some reason. It was hard to know where it was steaming from, though...

With Tiwaz that followed, Dylan knew exactly where he was going with it...He knew a great deal about the rune as a stand-alone...and just appreciated everything it stood for. 'Victory' and 'Success'..."Intaglio Tiwaz....Intaglio Tiwaz....Intaglio Tiwaz....Intaglio Tiwaz...." He began carving the arrow shaped rune with vigor. VIGOR. ALMOST DONE.

He could already feel some of the power...

Thurisaz...was meant for defense...and while he did have a great deal of power on the galdr already...there needed to be a good stand for protective. Thurisaz would handle that, clearly...Placing that one need the center, too...it was FINALLY time for the FINAL rune...and what better rune to end with than Wunjo! It was the rune of 'Happily Ever After'...and that was cheesily enough what Dylan hoped for this galdr. HAPPINESS. That's all he wanted...Fulfillment in all the areas...in all the runes for this...

So, FOCUSING ONE LAST TIME...he clearly pictured the 'P' shaped rune..."Intaglio Wunjo...Intaglio Wunjo..." Carving...carving.....carving......"Intaglio Wunjo...Intaglio Wunjo...Intaglio Wunjo..." Carving some more...

THERE.

DONE!
