Having just finished with the stripping of the galdr, Dylan slowly made his way back out to the tree. HIS tree. His YEW tree. He was even whistling a turn as he walked along, feeling great about everything he'd done for this project thus far. All was going according to plan, too. No hiccups or missteps along the way....so far.

When he'd finally reached where his yew tree of choice sat, Dylan quickly dropped his bag and took a seat in front of it. The Slytherin liked being in its presence...It was calming...and just a chill environment all around. "Hello, yew tree. I've returned..." He hadn't lied about coming back? See? He was right here..."...Did you miss me?"

Maybe....maybe not? Hmm?

"I've done something special for you..." Totally had. He'd wrote a song, albeit not a great one...but it was still a song...and Dylan was proud of it...now. Wasn't like thirty minutes ago...but he'd come to love it on his walk down to the grounds. Digging into his robe's pocket, he pulled out the small black pouch. He hadn't needed to break out the parchment his song was written on, though...The Captain figured it would've been considered rude to not have it memorized...and well, he HAD wrote it. Kinda hard to forget it, really.

Clearing his throat, he tugged at the drawstrings to open the pouch, preparing himself for what he was about to do...No singing right at the moment. Nope...Simply sprinkling the bark bits for now...He did this with care, though. Gently pulling them from the pouch to then scatter them at the foot of the yew tree.

Sprinkle..............sprinkle................spri nkle.................
