"Professor, would those rules apply to names? I can understand with words in a letter...but when we go to carve the names of who we're giving them to...?" Dylan allowed the sentence to drop. The gist was gotten, yea?

...But then he'd had a rather brilliant idea...like most of his ideas were. Was it against the rules to do a letter for SEVERAL people at once? Dylan didn't think Professor Botros would mind too much...considering the nature of the people he was intending to write this "letter" to...

With a pleased smirk, he set to work...beginning the tedious task of writing out things and corresponding runes to letters and such. Names would come later, anyway. Oh, and something else. "Would 'Q' be the 'ingwaz' rune?...Or would it turn into 'wunjo'?"
Botros almost sat at his desk and started his own letter, his eyes found the Slytherin and chuckled lightly. "Yes, yes. It applies on names as well as words. Names are words in Runes, it explains why the names of the Norse gods are carved on talismans and considered as powerful as any other runic spell." The professor had walked closer to the Captain and leaned on his cane. As for his second question, HMMM. "It depends on how it sounds in your word. 'Q' is pronounced as 'K' mostly, therefore you can replace it with Kenaz." He smiled and waited for a moment to see if the boy had anything else to add.

Text Cut: linked to the translation on the site, because I'm feeling lazy. Sorry ^_^
... hmm? Botros craned his neck to one of the girls sitting nearby and squinted for a moment at her parchment. "You may want to check that first and last word, dear." He patted her shoulder to get her attention. "Write it as you say it. Just like a five-years-old learning how to write for the first time." And gave her a small smile. The dots were missing too.
ooc: - Everyone, you can use this to help you make your own graphics of the runic letter/line you're writing. Making your own graphics will probably earn you more points.
