Except... that was a little to help him feel better about this whole duelling thing. And hopefully to make Minnie feel better about it too.
It was nice how much Minnie cared and liked to encourage him when the time called for it. And this was certainly one of those times. Definitely. "I like how you have so much confidence in me," But it was the same thing for her. He knew she was awesome and had lots of potential and sometimes, she didn't see it that way. Maybe. Although, he was glad that she didn't see him hurting her. "Yeah... that sounds like an awesome deal!" GRIN. Nodnod. And... yeah... no telling Ells. She was definitely the scarier one in their relationship. "She won't know a thing!" Which was going to be hard... very hard. "But if you do hurt me, no hard feelings as well, yeah?" Also, hopefully those two can sort things out soon, yeah?
Minnie calling him by his surname sounded a little odd too. A funny kind of odd, though. One that earned her a soft chuckle from him. He shook his head and stepped up onto the platform before turning to face her. "I hope you're ready!" He bowed, turned around and started walking ten steps away from her.
One... two... three... four... five...
As Minerva walked up to the dueling area she smiled back at Alec,
"Of course I have confidence in you. I know you are a great wizard and hard working." Oh and he liked her deal.. good she didn't need Ella kicking her butt if she accidentally did something to Alec during the duel. She walked to her end still listening to Alec. She for some reason seemed to think he was as nervous as she was. This was going to be interesting.
She laughed when Alec asked if she was ready.. Sure why not. Pulling out her wand from it's holster she looked back at him.
"So how do we do this. Do we just start, or should one person do something first." She had no clue what was to happen next. She held up her wand, she didn't even know what spell to do, maybe Alec would know what the next move was.
"If it's one at a time, why don't you go first and I will try to shield." That could work, right. This was fun to nonviolent happy people dueling each other.. This wasn't going to end badly.. not at all.
