Lex had been up in her Common Room trying to get the last of her Divination homework done when she suddenly heard a loud screeching. Not just any loud screeching because that would have been ignored, this was her kneazle's screeching and it drew Lex quickly to the stairs leading down into the Common Room.

Her eyes darted around the room as she bolted down the stairs but she stopped with a few steps to spare, her breath suddenly caught in here throat.

Dementors...

She...she'd never seen them so close. Instinctively she hugged herself, feeling the major difference in the temperature of the Common Room. She should have run back to her dorm and shut the door but Felix! He was crouched down by the now extinguished fireplace, hissing and pawing at the figures drifting around. "Felix...Felix lovely...come here..." She whispered, forgetting that whispering did not make one any less noticeable.

The kneazle bolted up the stairs and lept into her arms without even being invited to. She slowly began going back up the stairs, hoping not to draw too much more attention to herself...
