Not Annie, though. That was too obviously pointed. "We can call her Truebee. That's a cow sort of name, I think, but not obviously named after Truebridge." He knelt carefully beside the cow as he tugged on the proffered gloves. Now... was it possible to do this wrong? To be too rough or ineffectual? Mo rubbed gently and made soft noises at baby Truebee-cow, letting her know she was a good girl and a sweet girl and a special girl.
"Truebee sounds like an awesome name, Mr. Firth," Alice commented, tugging on her gloves and beginning to rub the baby cow with Mo. She wasn't doing that cooing stuff, though, not her thing. But she did offer a couple more whispers of encouragement about parents wanting little girls and things like that, just so that the calf knew. Because that was just something necessary to know. Fundamental for growth and growing up right and stuff.
But Truebee. Yeah. Good name.
Cactus' Ravenclawing about miracles went ignored for the time being because Alice was so busy with breath stimulating and such. Lesson over, though? Already? She disposed of the gloves and waved goodbye to baby Truebee-cow before following the others back out to the castle.
"Thanks for the lesson, Professor, Mr. Firth." Live births were definitely.. interesting.
