Hovering at the edge of the forest, the pair of dementors continued search for another window of opportunity to attack once again. Sensing their prey moving further and further away, they slowly glided forwards as one last silver hippogriff sailed past them, missing them almost on purpose.
That was the signal.
Scabby hands recoiled back into their black cloaked forms and they floated backwards and vanished into the darkness of the Forbidden Forest.
And that was that. Erik lowered his wand as the dementors retreated at last, and after a few more moments without any sign of them, he turned and left the Arithmancy professor to the Healer. He had more important people to tend to.

Merlin, she hated those things. Ivy shivered and looked at Erik again. "Well," she started before clearing her throat. "Good thing you were here to save the day." There was a hint of... something in there. Ivy just wasn't quite sure what was going on anymore.
"Ivy," he said simply, ignoring her comment and closing the distance between them with a few quick steps. He looked her over head to toe and put a hand out on her arm.
