Merlin's Beeeeeaaaard! YES she heard them say go back to the castle, NO she did NOT plan to listen. Uuuugggghhhhh. She needed ice-cream. Yup. Ice-cream. It was the most legit thing she could think of, even more legit than the chocolate frog in her hand. Perhaps she could go find some?? Yes, that would be nice. There was a Mo heading toward her, grabbing her--WHY was she being slung over his shoulder like a sack of chocolate frogs???? "I will do no such thing! You put me down RIGHT NOW!!!! Now! NOW! NOW!!!!" He obviously wouldn't be able to tell but the look she was giving him was NOT a good one.
"I am being SUPER serious! Put. Me. Down!!!!"
She was not something to be lifted and taken away. She was staying close to Mr. Vinteren because he was the best choice in a situation like this. The castle had nooks for dementors to HIDE in then AMBUSH them on their way up the towers!!!! Down! She wanted DOWN!!
Lex began pounding at his back with her fists."Are you listening??? PUT ME DOWN!!!" Everyone was staying so she would too!!! Then it happened. The remainder of her chocolate frog fell from her hands. "Eeeeeek!! No! This is serious!! My candy! Mo! Put me dooooown!!!! I don't wanna waaaaaaaste it!!!!" NOW she was close to tears. Precious chocolate frog. She wasn't going ANYWHERE with the Ravenclaw!
In the middle of her flailing she heard a familiar voice--asking for her chocolate??? NOOOOOO!!!!
She couldn't even see the girl to tell her NO. See why Mo needed to put her down?? She couldn't operate like this!!! "I-um--" But then she felt a chocolate frog zip out of her pocket. What the kneazle????

"Mo! Look what you made happen!!!! Put me down before someone else can steal any!!! You owe me a chocolate frog for that!!!" And she was still hitting at him. Was this what they were reduced to? STEALING candy for third years???

Her eyes widened as another drifted closer, reaching toward her. The temperature dropped so suddenly that she didn't know what to make off it. The pounding on Mo's back stopped and her eyes stayed fixed on the cloaked creature that was drawing closer. Suddenly a bright light and a raven patronus.

Then MORE patronus spells. Mr. Vinteren was in action. Whoooooaaaaaa...Alexa was taking everything in with eyes that widened by the second. This...this was what she would call EPIC. Her resisting slowly came to a halt and she watched in awe as Mr. Vinteren single-handedly chased away the dementors. He was the greatest--next to her Daddy of course.
Once the threat had passed and they were once again being yelled at to head back to the castle she looked around. The Healer was put straight to work. "Okaaaaaay, you can take me back to the castle." No more fighting. The action had died.
Oh but before he did. "That was SO TOTALLY amazing Mr. Vinteren!!!!!!!!!" It had to be said. It just had to. The others tried and yeah, they got something done, Dylan's patronus even sorta saved her but HIS patronus things REALLY did it.
She was hitting him. Bruising him. And it was cold and she was heavy and Oakey was yelling at him and where were Cat and Alice anyway? And then she
blamed him for missing candy... Mo was tempted to drop Lex on her big dumb head and stalk off to the castle on his own.
It went colder than ever, though, and although Mo couldn't see it, he could sense that one of those dementors was waaaaaaaaay too close to him. Must be going for Lex, who was still managing to be the greatest source of emotional turmoil on the field. She was like a lamp for a very creepy moth.
The feeling disappeared all at once, and Mo redoubled his efforts to get Lex out of there. It was nice she'd had a change of heart, but she was gonna go even if she didn't want to go. He grumbled and shook her about as he stalked toward the castle. "I'm not replacing your dumb candy, you know."
