"It looks like a finger," Erik pointed out, twirling the white cookie around in his hand contemplatively. "I vonder vhat it tastes like..."

It seemed winter or something more sinister had not yet left Hogwarts.
He raised the cookie to his lips and was about to bite down when a sudden chill seemed to take over the prefect event. "Uh oh..." Erik murmured, knowing very well what was going to happen next. He dropped the cookie and moved in front of Ivy protectively, his wand sliding into his hand in place of the finger cookie.

Removing her wand from its holster, she spun it between her forefinger and thumb as she surveyed the crowds.

Surely one of the events had to have something that she could use to run her energy. But being glued-on-goo didn't sound appealing, nor did anything to do with chocolate frogs. She'd save that one for Cambridge.

One dementor veered off of the female professor, sensing the presence of others, while the other continued to get closer and inhaled more deeply as it did.

pretend vhere are other quotes here

And then were there, the dementors he had been expecting anticipating....ever since that cold chill had rolled in. The children were putting up an admirable effort but frankly, the Hufflepuff Head of House appeared to be perishing despite their best efforts. Erik heard the Gryffindor prefect...captain person... through the haze of the dementor-effects, and decided he might as well intervene now. As loathe as he was to leave Ivy's side...

"Back to vhe castle, now," the governor calmly commanded, stepping forward at last and striding toward the dementors as though they had no effect on him. He sent off a nonverbal message patronus to the castle, then cast one of the protective variety as he continued walking toward Hadley. And another. And another. Silvery hippogriffs were exploding from his wand like he was a one-man magic show.

Hopefully, it would be enough to hold the dementors off for a moment. By now he had reached Hadley's side, and although he was shivering, his patronuses were holding form. No more of the dementors would be getting to the Arithmancy professor now that he was here.

....maybe.
