" She smile grew thinking about it and she looked back at the case. Taking his hand she squeezed it, "You're the first person I thought of when I found it. I had to share it with you."
She felt the shudder as she held his hand and nudged him, "Hey I'm fine.. Don't think about it." She wasn't sure if that was what he was thinking, but since they were talking about injuries she just assumed. Min then smiled and let go of his hand looking towards the other trophies, "Three? Wow she is such a great player. I think you take after her with quidditch." Why wouldn't he, he was a great player. Blue eyes glanced back at him and a small blush, "Oh that's right, I'm sorry it slipped my mind." She knew that why did she ask, her mind was really only thinking of her mother when she first came in. This was just beyond amazing in her head.
She watched him head towards the Slytherin trophies, it still shocked her his mom was a slytherin. Not that it was a bad thing, she just didn't picture it. Walking up behind him she put her arms around him. "It's neat seeing their names on in here, isn't it?" Maybe it was just her way of thinking. It was an exciting weird, but still weird. She walked back over looking at the puff trophies. This was the greatest find ever...
Smiling more than he had in days, Ethan turned back to Minerva, just gazing happily at her. It had almost felt like the turmoil of recent days were long behind them - at least for right now - with just this simple find and he was thankful to share in this moment with her. Listening to Min talk and speculate a bit about it, he nodded thoughtfully.
"It is pretty fascinating that she played the same position as you and everything.. I guess you're a pretty good mix of both.. but yeah, I'd say you must take after her more than you thought." He briefly wondered why her mother pushed her away from sports when she had played herself. Perhaps she had been injured.. or began resenting the violent aspect of the position.. and wanted to save her from that. He didn't voice that thought, however, knowing that it made her sad to not know much about her and she would only be able to speculate this. He was snapped out of his thoughts by her next words and his smile grew.
"You thought of me?" he asked, squeezing her hand as well.
"Well.. I'm really glad I could share this with you." He knew how special this was for her.
He smiled a bit sheepishly as she nudged him, knowing she could read his thoughts.
"Yeah, I know you are.. it was just really hard to watch.. and know you were really hurt.." He drifted off, his thoughts going back to that game and its aftermath fro a moment. He turned back and took both of her hands in his, looking in her blue eyes.
"Are you, really? Are the headaches gone now?" He knew she had been injured very badly and hoped there was no residual damage. He watched her looking at the Ravenclaw trophies, then shrugged a little as he glanced again at the past trophies he had seen earlier.
"I'm not nearly as good as she was.. but that's alright, I don't plan to make a career of it.." It was pretty cool to be related to someone who had played professionally though.
As his green eyes fell over the past Slytherin Quidditch trophies, he felt her come up behind him and he put his arms on hers. He figured it was pretty unlikely that his own mother was on one of these trophies but he allowed his eyes to fall over that house's trophies anyway.
"Yeah, it is pretty cool.." He allowed the hint of a grin play at the corners of his lips and he glanced over as she walked back to the Hufflepuff trophies.
