Laura just sat there on the end of the bed, she wondered if it would make Minnie happy if she had short hair too, that way she could show her friend that short hair was good. "I just think it suits you." Laura said truthfully. "Also I think it's really nice." Laura then listened to Minnie. "I liked your long hair too, but it's up-to you, if you really want long hair, I will use that spell and make it longer again." Laura felt like she was about to cry because of the fact she had failed Minnie, by not being able to offer a solution.

"As for your robes and shoes." Laura looked at her friends. "You can have a pair of mine, I know we will have to make them bigger but I insist that you take a pair of my robes, and shoes." Laura had brought extra, so she didn't mind giving her friend a pair.

Laura then decided to be brave and say something to her friend, that had kept her strong for all the time, she had detention, she just hoped that her friend wouldn't jinx her for saying this or shout at her. "No matter what happens to me in life, no matter what horrors I face, I know that as long as I keep true to myself, no one can break my spirit." Laura sighed, her grandmother had taught her that this Christmas after what had happened last summer, she just hoped she hadn't upset her friend by saying it, she sat on the edge of the bed and waited to see what Minnie did next, she was a bit upset.

Minerva nodded Laura was probably right. "Maybe someone needs to tell their parents about it." She wondered if Ethan will, but then she feared what his parents might do. They wouldn't want him to leave before the end of term, right. She pushed it out of her mind. He would never leave her, but then again he had to leave her sooner than she wanted. She couldn't even handle those thoughts right now. She buried her face in her legs again.

Min threw her head up when she heard Laura "NOOOOOOOO don't you ever hug her. Do you hear me.. NEVER HUG LAFAY. . or Tillstorm for that matter." She trembled at the thought of what those hugs cost her. Pictures of hugging that plant on fire entered her head. No way did she want Laura to go through that. She wanted no one to go through what her and Ethan did in that dungeon. Her hand went to her head as she put her fingers through the short hair, "Thanks, but it's not how I wanted to go about getting short hair." She whimpered a bit as Laura kept talking about her hair. She didn't like being defined by her hair, but it was a big part of her.

Shaking her head she looked up, "Thank you Laura, but I have extra. I have plenty of shoes and a few robes." She was a seventeen year old girl, of course she had more shoes. She wiped her eyes and tried to calm down a bit as she listened. When did Laura because so... mature.. Minerva took notice of this and was grateful that her friend was being so sweet. "Thanks Laura for everything." She wanted nothing more than to be alone, but she was glad that Laura was there too.
