"Right," she nodded conclusively. Still not sure what she was supposed to do about it. Tell people the food was fine, but maybe not fine? Before matches in particular?
The other matter, she could help with. Easy peasy, and in fact, this pleased her. Seren grinned, it was about time the boy manned up and got over his fear. They were only plants with teeth, not much different to creatures or humans, really. "Of course," she trilled. Pointing to the cabinet beneath the window, she added, "If you look in there, you'll find one of my own works... A Worlds Collection of Flesh-Eating Trees, Shrubs and Plants... that should have everything you need." She was somewhat of an expert on the matter. But books were only the beginning.
"If you ever want to set up a meeting with my fanged geraniums, or perhaps some throat-latching carnations, I'd be more than happy to chaperone."
She didn't sound anymore convinced of what he was trying to get across. Why was he trying so hard on getting Bentley to understand anyways. He just needed his points back for this.
Oakey sat back and followed her pointed finger over to the cabinet. Standing up Oakey browsed her the shelves until he came across the book that she had written. Pulling it out Oakey quietly skimmed through a few of the pages. Closing it he carried it back to the chair and sat down again.
"It's really okay if I borrow this book for a while?"
Had she just said he needed appointments with her demon plants?
"I uh-m-maybe. Maybe I should read up on them...first or I-I don't know...yeah uh sure. Both would good."
THE HELL DID YOU JUST AGREE TO OAKEY? THAT WAS A TERRIBLE IDEA!
Have meetings with her Demon Plants. It was a death wish, who cares if she was chaperoning!
