BLINK. That leaning forward? That lip biting? Did he know what she was doing to him? Really? She had to know, right? There was no way she could be doing this by accident. He grinned sheepishly and ruffled his hair, not knowing what to say back to her other than, "Yeah..."

"It's nice that you do, you know," he said, reaching over and giving her a gentle poke on the nose. ... "Yeah, it is!" And... he didn't need to tell her that he sometimes pretended it was an actual puppy for future puppy!practice. Or... something. "I... you actually remember things like that?" GRIN GRIN GRIN.

"Thanks! You should consider it as a career choice," he said, jokingly, grinning widely at her. Although, he was pretty sure he could see her looking after elephants instead. And then having them wave simultaneously at her as she left for her house. Yeah, that was possible. ... Alec blinked back to reality just in time to catch her tucking a lock of her hair behind her ear. That was another thing she really shouldn't be allowed to do around him. "Yeah? Did it take you a long time to put it all together?" he asked, his eyes flicking down to look at the CD for a couple of seconds before looking back up at the girl.

This was really nerve-wrecking. Because the words that he had spent so long practising back at the dorm were now said. So his part was done and... well... it was up to the girl to accept it or not. Which, judging by her words and the way she was touching his face, she sort of did! "You do? Really? It's not a lame idea?" ... Wait... "I mean... I'm really glad!"

"Yeah, erm... it looks really great on your hand..." Also, he was really glad she had slid the ring on a finger on her right hand. Just saying.
