And of course she didn't expect Lex but she didn't answer because it probably was a rhetorical question. She didn't comment. Maybe Lex would stop? Nope, she didn't stop.
Madness? This word somehow triggered something. Like somehow Cassia was implied to be a mad person. and mad people were like daft. And everyone knew that Cassia hated this word very verrry muuuch. How could Lex imply such a thing! The snake was starting to fuuuume internally.
Without knowing what she was doing, the fourth-year straightened and stood on her knees and moved around Lex, took her by the shoulders and pulled her and it wasn't easy. Because although Cassia was taller she wasn't an athlete. Though she kept struggling and pulling the lioness, who surely wouldn't be dragged willingly. Anyway, Cassia stopped a couple of feet away from the ladder. She was breathing very hard you know. After taking a huge breath in she spoke, "Alexa Christina Cambridge," Yuuup, FULL name! Serious here. " I will not have anyone insult my business," She said narrowing her eyes. Even from a bestie because it'd make you look weak if you don't stand up to your ideas. "Don't let me shove you down." She said as threateningly as she could manage. The truth is that she didn't have the strength to topple anyone, now. But let's pretend she was sweet and gentle.
"And don't voice your thoughts in public, please," She added. Last thing CLUE wanted was people having same opinions as Lex. The business already didn't pick much. "Or Felix might actually become Snaty's victim." She wasn't really gonna do this because that'd mean that her owl wins and she would never ever help that. But you know, she needed to set some boundaries here.
She totally could be firm with Lex.
And now she'll wait for the storm of comebacks. So she sat back on her heels.
Something told her that she was meant to be alarmed at the fact that Cassia wasn't saying anything but being the oblivious person she was, she couldn't see why so she ignored the mostly serious looks she was getting. It was probably nothing. Maybe Cassia was just internalizing everything she was saying and re-considering things? That was a possibility.
Nothing to really concern herself with.
Er...until she was being hauled across the floor of the treehouse with her entire name being yelled at her.
Blink. Blink. "Hey! Cut that out! Knock it oooooff!" She tried swatting at Cassia's hands but the girl wasn't letting go, not until they were by the ladder again and she was looking down.
O__O
Again she swatted at the girls hands, this time managing to free herself at which point she hopped up.
"OI! What do you think you're doing? I don't think you'd shove me from the top of a treehouse for a love business." Nope nope nope. This was Cassia here. She was positive she meant more to her than a few sickles or the odd galleon or two and she was especially sure that she was worth more to her than that whole falling in love thing.
"I was not insulting your business, just saying what I think of it and you don't have to worry about me telling anyone else. I don't think I'll be discussing it much at all. I'm sure it'll work out for you, everyone here seems to want to be paired with someone else." Bleh.
She paused and stepped FAR AWAY FROM THE MENTAL SNAKE. No matter what Cassia said, she was convinced she'd crossed over. So had Lottie. It was inevitable, wasn't it? At the very least it seemed contagious. She took a few more steps.
"I thought so too. I think we'll leave Felix out of it."
For the safety of the bird.
