Sad news: If you don't already know, Anna Banana has stepped down as Minister of Magic. And that means that Alexander Greingoth is no longer our IC Minister. Which brings me to what I'm posting here: Mr. Greingoth's farewell speech:

Yet for me, all good things, including the position, must someday come to an end. Over the holiday break, my term limit as Minister of Magic was exceeded," he said, pausing once again. It seemed only yesterday he'd taken the position, and now, his term limit had exceeded.

"So it is here that I leave you as Minister of Magic, and happily so. For I leave with thoughts of having had a good run and thoughts of opportunities that lie ahead," he said. "I'm happy to be able to spend additional time with my family and happy to pursue other ambitions while I'm still young." He grinned playfully at the crowd. "I thank you for the opportunities given to me while serving as your Minister of Magic, and I wish you all well. I'm also proud to announce that my oldest daughter, Mrs. Anna Greingoth Newell, will be joining you in the Department of Magical Law Enforcement. I'm excited for her to experience what we all have."

"So with that, it is my honor to present to you Mr. Albert Kettleburn, your new Minister of Magic!" he said, and then he began clapping. He gestured toward Kettleburn. "Welcome, Minister Kettleburn!"

We'll miss both you and Alexander, Anna!
