"Yes," he answered back. Should he tell it was the FIRST time he ever played in the snow? Would Tobias laugh at him? He got on his feet and shook them. He hadn't noticed them getting numb due to kneeling.
"Wanna join?" Please?
Tobias took that as a cue to close the gap and took the few steps that took him to within normal 'conversation distance' with Forrest.
"Sure thing, I'd love to join!" he nodded enthusiastically, looking around at the snow and adjusting his sleeves and gloves even as the wind made another sudden gust. Boy, it sure was chilly.
"So how big is it gonna be?" They could make it super tall, but obviously they'd still need to get the head and facial features on.
"When I was at my old school, we spent a whole lunch making a huge snowball. Started off tiny and we rolled it and rolled it until it picked up all the snow from the ground. It was way bigger than me by the end of the day," Tobias recounted, not knowing if Forrest really cared about his snowball exploits, but sharing them anyway.
"It took weeks for it to melt. Weeks."
