The two knuts in the pocket of his trousers clinked together as Jake made his way down the corridor. He was in a hurry to get back to the library. The figure down the hall, though, distracted him and lessened his haste. Professor Knox. Jake paused, glancing around the corridor. Nobody else was around.
He'd always thought Knox seemed... interesting, but he never gave it much thought. At least not enough thought to go out of his way and talk to her. Since she was here, though...
"Professor!" He called, raising a hand without thinking. He jogged over to her, forcing what he hoped was a friendly smile. "Hey, Professor Knox."
