And he had the funny feeling he was going to annoy his Dad by blasting this over and over again during the summer holidays.

"Only if you're sure..." He did have gummy worms in there. And it was a pity he hadn't brought along some ice cream; perfect combination was perfect. He shook his head and grinned as the girl looked into the basket and at her gifts. Did he mention how nice this was...?

Okay, really, why was she looking into his eyes like that? Didn't she know that she had really pretty eyes? And sometimes he just liked... looking... into them... Wait, what was she saying? Promising? Him? ... Uh oh. She was practically asking him to explain his feelings! He couldn't do that! "Erm... I..." He blinked a couple of times and took a deep breath before continuing, "Erm... just, erm... see, promise rings are usually given to someone to tell them that you'll be loyal and faithful," Worst way to start an explanation ever. "And that's what I'm promising. I mean... I know you know how I feel and... erm... it's just my way of promising that I'm not leaving... And that I love you." Was that good enough?

Evil Summers was evil, okay? Ella leaned forward slightly and bit her lip, feeling the butterflies in her stomach going all crazy again. This was all his fault too, by the way. "I just believe in you, is all." BEAM. He knew that though, didn't he? She hoped so. "Is it?" Grin. "Well it'll be good company until you get an actual dog with Tag." Yup, she knew all about this. She approved too and was totally okay sharing her boyfriend with Sir Sassy-pants. He was good people.

"You're a fast learner so it was my pleasure?" Giggle. What were they even saying? It was nice though, being able to talk nonsense with Alec. She really didn't mind what they were talking about as long as they were talking. The blonde tucked a strand of hair behind her ear and nodded, feeling a bit sheepish about how much time she had spent on the gift. "I thought about it for a while...and I'm happy it worked out." And she totally had a copy of that CD for herself, y'know. Not that she'd ever tell him that.

And suddenly his nerves made sense. Ella looked from him to the ring and back, a nervous smile on her face. This...wasn't that big of a deal, yeah? He was just...promising to...y'know...*blink* be loyal and faithful? That... sounded really grown up and Ella nodded, biting her lip slightly cause she didn't know what to say. Her smile broadened as he finished his speech and she reached out to touch his face gently. "I really like this. Erm love it, even. And I love you too. Lots." GRIN.

The blonde then slid the ring on to her right hand and smiled down at it. "Nice fit, yeah?"
