"The entrance to the kitchens?" she repeated, eyes sparkling. Oh tasty food would have to be somewhere nearby then! Actually knowing what the entrance was would definitely help considering currently she only knew it was somewhere on this floor.
Apparently.
"That's amazing" she continued, still thinking of all sorts of foods which weren't burnt... "So a portrait of fruits? Well that shouldn't be too hard to find... I guess... finding out what to do to the pear might be though" she contemplated, thinking about some of the random pathways and corridors she'd heard about.
Forrest beamed somewhat smugly and even his walk got teasingly arrogant. It was obvious he enjoyed this show. Shushing her when she said the pear part might be hard, he said
"We will get inside the kitchens and eat quality food." Period.
Think positive and live positive, his mother had always told him. They should be glad he'd learnt this much.
He should eavesdrop on others' conversations more.
After walking a few paces in the corridor, he gasped and pointed at the infamous portrait that promised so much. He gaped at it, his arm still over her shoulders, and gulped. Even the knowledge that food was behind it was marvellous.
