Forrest ignored her attempts to keep the mood light. His heartbeat was frantic, because this was the first time he ever confronted someone so bluntly. It took all his will not to pant, but he had definitely paled as he examined her expression to catch a glimpse of lying. He didn't want to break their friendship, because she was the first friend he'd made here. But she was a Slytherin, and he couldn't keep a friendship that would only harm him.

Plus, he was dead afraid of continuing the confrontation. It would be a shame if he lost the first friend he'd made here, so no more weird questions.
