Hello! I'm Hera, and I'm super excited to be dedicating my SS25 challenge to my SSRPG character, Professor Seren Bentley. In addition to this, all tracks for this challenge will be from Delta Goodrem, which is the inspiration/model for Seren. Appropriate yes? I think so. These drabbles will vary in context, from early childhood, to school age, to young adulthood, to wifedom/motherhood (in that order – I hope).

Naturally, I do not own the rights to the Harry Potter universe or any of J.K. Rowling's marvelous creations, however I will fangirl and worship them.

Sanctuary

Seren ran through the garden, through the gate and down the little dirt path to the riverside. Only slowing at the waters edge, Seren pulled a floral handkerchief from her shorts pocket and held it to her face.

Hearing the trickle of the water over stones, the wind whispering through the trees, Seren inhaled a deep breath before removing her hanky from her eyes. Even through the haze of tears, the riverside was beautiful. Sitting herself down on a moss covered rock beneath the shade of a willow, Seren hugged her knees to her chest, willing herself to escape reality.
