"Oh, it's no problem. I like talking, I like it even better when everyone else can hear me." and more BEAMing.

Blink. "Turnstile change?" She paused to think that over as the woman went on digging. How curious. Change? WAIT. "You hand out change to everyone that visits you? I mean, not that I'd only visit for the change because I have change but coooool!!! It's very nice of you. Not everyone's handling this paying thing well."

And it puzzled her that she'd never stopped by her office before. She should fix that, yeah?

Oh and they were talking about her earlier proposition? "Eh, it's fine, you're doing this for a good cause. You can keep it all. It's really the dumb luck of whoever lost it in the first place. Would you like me to help you look? I'm not very busy at the moment." Rather bored, actually.

If they didn't find enough she would donate a galleon or two. She still had plenty from the egg sale earlier in the term.
Though James usually had a soft spot for Hufflepuffs, this particular Gryffindor was growing on her very quickly in the span of one minute. What a cheery, kindhearted young student. "That's very good," she laughed. "You'll be doing a lot of it, and they'll certainly be able to hear you. The whole school, in fact. You'll have to let me know how you enjoy it after the match - maybe we can fit you in for another match this term if you decide that it's your cup of tea." And if she behaved.

James stopped digging for a moment to give Lex a curious, slightly confused expression. Of course she handed out change to those who visited her - didn't the other staff members do that, too? "I do," Erin smiled. "I figure if someone's going to make the trip to see me, might as well make it worth their while and pay for their trip back to their own dormitory, right?" She shrugged, picking up the two knuts from the cushion and setting them on the nearby table. They could start a pile there.

"I know they're not - understandably, I suppose." Erin's tone was solemn, still regretful. "We'll get through it, though. If we band together as a school and press forward, we can handle anything!" She accented her statement with a shrug of worry-free simplicity. The school would be all right. Of course it would.

Her face lit up with delight at Lex's proposition. "Would you? That would be wonderful!" This one deserved a ride on one of her special brooms in storage. What a good-natured soul. James rose to her feet, stretched, and surveyed the room. "Hmm. Let's tackle the couch. Be leery, though - I doubt you guys have cleaned down in here any time recently, have you?" James questioned warily, kneeling next to the couch. No house elves to clean the corners meant there were likely to be surprises all over, she figured. Though... maybe that meant lots of treasure!
