For now she was content with lazily waving her wand around and mumbling spells. Every now and then she would try to remember a hex from the book then quiz herself on it. Best keep her mind sharp. You never know when she'd need one of those.

Her gaze shifted to the portrait hole. Someone was entering. Someone with ice-cream to share maybe????

Oh. Just the Professor. The ice-cream-less Professor. But she was giving warm smiles so it was cool! Lex grinned over at her. "Hello Professor, what brings you here?"

Oh....okay...no need to answer...she could kinda get an idea from just watching. "Er...Professor...what are you looking for?" She asked, getting up from her spot and walking over to her with a curious look. "Is there buried treasured down there? If yes then you'll have to split it with everyone in here because this is our Common Room and we're already being required to pay to enter. You can have the biggest cut though for finding it!!" BEAM.
Oh, good! One of her darling Quidditch players - and, in fact, the commentator for the upcoming match! "Nice to see you, as always, Miss Cambridge - just posting a notice about the Ravenclaw-Hufflepuff match on Saturday. Thank you for agreeing to commentate, by the way, I'm sure you'll do a marvelous job!" Though she wasn't entirely sure how positive the chemistry was between Miss Cambridge and Miss Logan...

"Turnstile change," Erin replied brightly, plucking a single knut from the depths of the deep left corner of the armchair, setting it on the cushion, and plunging her hand back into the chair's depths. "I'm sure there is. I'm actually... hold on..." One of her eye squeezed shut and she stretched exceptionally far, the utmost expression of concentration on her face, before she plucked out another knut. "There. I was actually collecting for you guys, in a way, yes - I keep a bowl on my desk full of knuts for visitors to take on their way back to their common rooms for 'free' entry - just a little incentive for stopping by." She turned to give Alexa a remorseful smile - one that said, I don't like to see you guys paying any more than you do.

"Unfortunately, it's running a bit low, so I figured I'd pop by the common rooms as I post the notices and help recycle a bit." In other words, she hoped to help ease the stress of her Quidditch kids a bit.

Heh.

"Your way is convincing, though. How about we split the treasure in half? Gryffindors get half of whatever we find, the other half will go to the bowl in my office for the use of those who stop by." Privileged Quidditch players.
