Kahlan raised an eyebrow, giggling a bit at his overly dramatic reaction, the smile staying on her face as she noticed a look of recognition. Well, at least he hadn't forgotten who she was over the past weeks! Still, she found herself confused at the fact that he didn't smile at her, though she kept her own smile on her face.
"I'm pretty good... a bit hungry though..." she mused in response, tilting her head to the side slightly at the tone of his voice. She knew that sort of tone. It was a tone of slight distaste, something she'd heard in her mother's voice so often it was something that always stood out to her.
Only she couldn't figure out why he used that tone... she hadn't done anything... had she?
"How are you?" the blonde asked in return, trying to distract herself from all the thoughts playing across her mind as she worked to keep the smile on her face so that he wouldn't notice her confusion.
