"I specialize in beasts, but I lead all of them, if that's what you mean." He had heard her say she was Head, didn't he?

A small laugh escaped when talk of Hogwarts houses came up. She didn't know if Vic was trying to be funny about the Hufflepuff assumption of Howard, but it was slightly amusing. "Pleased to meet you as well." He seemed like a nice guy. Maybe she'd be lucky enough to see him around the Ministry after this. If he survived.

Layla chuckled at the man's response.
"Umm..I don't eat ministry food. Though the coffee isn't bad and you can always make the tea from scratch yourself." She didn't trust the food one lick and besides in HER opinion..it wasn't all that good.
It took her a minute or two to realize that she knew that face..she knew that voice!
She mozzied to the other side of the group to give the man a squeeze."Vic! Fancy seeing you here!" Squeeze squeeze."This is wonderful, what brings you here to London?..What department are you in? Tell me everything!" She had a lot to tell him too. She was married and had a baby and so much to tell.
There were actually a few things Ella and the other woman could pick out that could be ironed out, but she wasn't going to mention them in front of new employees. She smiled at the woman just as she seemed to recognize Vic.
Oh..? They knew each other? Ella grabbed a cup of water and listened curiously...
...Just as an old friend walked by! Ella smiled at Alex as she passed and gave her a little wave of her fingers. She would have to go say a proper hello when she was done spying conversing with these fine employees. |
