Jory felt better now too, now that Ronnie said she was better. He knew it would take a long time for her to get over Oliver but she would. He remained silent as she continued to dig. He wouldn't mind helping but knew this was something she wanted to do on her own.
"Bye, Oliver,'' the Puffer said quietly as he was set down into the ground. He helped by covering up the hole. He hugged Ronnie back. "Come on, let's get out of the cold.'' If she wanted to talk that was alright with him. He'd do anything to help her feel better.
She stared blankly for a moment at the grave, her heart sinking. She just couldn't believe he was gone. No more running around the grounds searching for the cat that was always running off on adventures. No more sneaking him food from the kitchen. No more having him around her and Jory. She sniffled and wiped a few more tears away. Nodding at what Jory said, Ronnie stood.
"Where do you wanna go?" she asked, leaning into him.
