The look on her face as he made himself at home right beside her was priceless and he wished he had brought a camera with him. Hadn't she realised yet that he was here to give her a hard time about her misfortunes.
Axe gave her another raised eyebrow. "Really Anastasia. Your school is in dire need for cash, but you question my motives." He lent back in the chair and placed his hands behind his head. He would have placed his feet on the table if it wasn't already taken up by the huge chest. "Does it really matter where the money comes from and why?"
And she just had to bring up the ex-wife didn't she? That was okay, it was a long time ago and Marcus was definitely over Iliana. He tipped his head back and laughed. "You thought wrong my dear. Since the kid wasn't mine, she's now Masterton's problem." So he was free to spend his money how he liked. As for being broken-hearted, well that lasted for about five minutes. Only one woman had truly broken his heart and she was sitting beside him and it's not something he was ever going to let happen again.
Grin still in place, Lawson placed his hand over hers and removed it from his leg. "And I thought you would learnt how to manage money by now."
Apparently not! ...Anastasia was thisclose to throwing up in her mouth. An eyebrow waggle, with hints of what he had learned? "Oh puh-leeeease," the redhead mumbled, rolling her eyes so deeply they just might get stuck in their sockets. Axe grossed her out.
She eyed his all too familiar posture and crossed her arms over her chest in a bit of a pout. "What matters is that I know you're here just to annoy me," she pointed out. "Don't you have better things to do with your time? Like gamble and womanize?" There were no casinos in Hogsmeade, hello. As for the womanizing... well he was probably capable of that at a family fundraiser.
Annie pretended not to look shocked over the mention of Masterson. So the two people she had liked the least during her stint at Hogwarts turned out to be two of the slimiest. Well well, no one could ever say her instincts weren't right! Losers.
She tried not to squirm when he touched her hand and instead wrinkled her nose at him like he disgusted her. "I didn't mis-manage Hogwarts' money, for your information. We have a treasurer to do that for us." And where was Hops anyway? She could use some relief at this donation station. "If you really are capable of reading, you would realize that the Prophet already reported on our MISSING funds. They were stolen from us, Axe. Over the summer. By I don't know whom."
Obviously she'd been too busy vacationing to have stolen them herself. Duhhh. Also she didn't need to steal from her school. She was rich already. Quote:

Sorting through his change, he dropped in a number of galleons, ten or so... and some sickles and a generous pile of knuts. Those pesky knuts always seemed to weigh him down, at least he could travel light now! How was a pineapple perfect for a fundraiser...? Annie just smiled as though Cope were being funny, not just touched in the head like he usually was, and nodded with each coin that dropped into her treasure box. "Well I hope you and your pineapple have a good evening, Mr. Cope. Thanks for the support." Quote:

So where did he need to go? Oh, there? Maybe. Hmmm. Jamie just didn't know where to go but he just walked around for a tiny bit so he could think of how much to give to the castle, he knew that both the students and staff would be better off with the money and it would make everything a lot easier for them. "Please donate," the redhead called out as she noticed a young man seemingly try to sneak by without giving so much as a single coin. Ah ah ah, we seeeee you! Quote:

Giving a lady, no doubt the Headmistress or Head Governor person, a small smile and nod, she dropped a few shiny gold galleons into the gold box thing... done.
Now..
Where was the food around here? They DID have food did they not? This one looked like a tough cookie alum, to be sure. "Hellooo, thank you for donating," Annie called out her usual response to the woman. Anddd then she went back to looking for richer people who could drop in more than just ten measly galleons.
