Laura looked at the Librarian. "I know that." Laura sighed before eating a couple more spoonfuls of her ice-cream, she sat still thinking about what the Librarian said before continuing. Laura listened to the Librarian. "I'm good at History of Magic and Muggle Studies, I love both them lessons." Laura really thought she might be able to do good about this, but she wasn't sure about it. "Sir, do you think if I really try and improve by studying hard I might have a chance of a few decent owls?" Laura was hoping so but wasn't sure, though she would study as hard as she could.
Leo munched on his ice cream as Laura spoke. The badger girl's comments made Leo want to roll his eyes at her but he didn't. Instead he sighed inaudibly before asking with a raised brow.
"You don’t think serving detention equals being in serious trouble?" Seriously, was she so blasé that she didn't connect the dots between reckless pranks and severe consequences?
Shaking his head he repeated.
"Anything is possible Laura if you put your mind to it and study hard, I'm positive that you can achieve some decent owls but I can't promise it." Leo didn't grade the owls so he didn’t know if the ministry officials paid any mind to general behaviour outside the classroom but he doubted it.
"It might be a good idea to talk to Professors Cerulean and Vinteren to see if you can get some help with what you should review for the owls." Leo suggested.
