She hadn't even considered it a date, so why get his hopes up there. He nibbled on a piece of pie to shut him up and used his free hand to hold his glasses in place as he looked down and away from Charlie. Stupid Saul!

He finished chewing his pie and looked back up at Charlie when she asked if he'll be back to get his next Tattoo. "Sooner than you think. Maybe once the Ministry Opens after Vacation, I've got more responsibility to handle in my Divition, but that means more Galleons in my account."
Talking about his job was much easier than it was about their Pie date. Could they continue to talk about work? "You have anything interesting happen at your job?" This was a lot more comfortable.
Charlie's brow furrowed and the blonde wondered why Saul had hesitated like he had. They had gone for dinner but it was more than that, wasn't it? He'd asked her out so that meant that it was, in fact, a date. "I thought our date was nice," She said honestly, her eyes trained on his face. At least his reaction would tell her if she'd been wrong to assume that the dinner meant something. ...Not that she cared that much either way. Nope. She'd just keep telling herself that.

More responsibility, huh? Charlie smiled at Saul and nudged him gently in the arm. "Well, well, Saul. That's great news! Congrats." She was happy for him, of course. As for her job, Charlie shrugged. "Same old thing but I love it. That's what counts, yeah?" As much as her Dad liked to disagree with that idea.

"Y'know, I've been thinking that we should see each other more." She offered after a moment or two of silence, her fingers tracing patterns on the tablecloth idly. "We do share a love of pie and seem to enjoy each other's company so I just figured..." And she trailed off, looking up at him thoughtfully. He wasn't going to freak out about this, was he?
