December had brought freezing temperatures, the occasional mild snowstorm, and grey skies over the past week; fortunately, the sun peeked out through the partly cloudy sky for the first match of the term to warm the temperatures and melt the patches of leftover snow. It was still quite brisk outside, but one should be very, very grateful for nature's gift to Hogwarts for the day. One could not have asked for better game day weather in winter.
