Zombie Apocalypse Team Leader ★ ★ in a crown of pepperoni and artisan cheese

A few days later, Dylan made the trek up to the Room of Requirement...For his final reading, he wanted it to be in a place where there would be no one else. Total privacy and whatnot. Also, he wanted to play some guitar after finishing up...and he didn't want other joining in...No offense to them, of course. Dylan just wasn't in the mood to deal.

Getting the door opened, he stepped through and sighed. It was set up simple, with a single mat in the very center of the room, a small coffee table for one person set in front of it...Bare necessities, indeed.

Making his way over, Dylan quickly put down all his things and took the spot in front of the table. Taking out all his tea-reading equipment, Dylan wasted no time in filling his cup with water and dropping tea leaves in it. The sooner he knocked this out of the way...the quicker he could jam some tunes.

After a few minutes, he lifted the cup with his left hand...as he'd done all the previous times and quickly drank the tea. He wasn't much of a fan, usually...but the stuff was starting to grow on him, the Captain had to admit.
Already knowing the following steps from repetition, he swished the amount that had been left over and carefully dumped it.

One breath..................Two breaths...........Three breaths..........

Notebook ready, Dylan lifted the cup and took a gander. A GANDER...The first symbol was some type of bird because he could clearly make out wings...and a weird beak...That was for the rim. The middle part looked to be a cow? maybe? It had horns...No, that'd be a bull. Okay, so the middle was a bull...and for the base, there was a....glass? It clearly looked like a glass to his eyes. So that's what he was going to go with.

Base: Glass
Journal Entry -

Beginning to break each one down, he smirked. He'd asked it about Professor Bond...and his upcoming lesson. Dylan was curious and couldn't think of anything else to ask. The Slytherin didn't care about knowing things. He went with the flow...

The bird...is apparently advantageous...and announced the arrival of good news and luck. Dylan wondered how things would go...How would the Professor be? Hard? Unfair? What would his teaching style be? According to the bird, though...the Slytherin would be lucky in the lesson, maybe? Perhaps he'd have all the good answers. Next came the bull...for near future...An insult from foes. The Slytherin snorted. Like he cared at all about someone insulted him. Anyone who tried could and would get dismissed...and none too nicely.

The Glass meant that he needed to ask with integrity in situations...and he idly wondered about the lesson again. Or maybe it was referring to the previous symbol. Maybe he needed to act with more........

Tact.

Gah. THAT WORD. BEEZUS COULDN'T KNOW...For Merlin's sake, he'd never hear the end of it.

Either way, this was a lot to think about.

Pulling his notebook ONE LAST TIME, he got to writing down thoughts, feelings....All that about the reading.

Nighttime Reading
Rim: Bird
Middle: Bull
Base: Glass
Journal Entry - I had some really good and interesting symbols this last go around. I started strong with the bird...which means I'll get advantages tomorrow. Not too sure what they'll be but that still sounds exciting. The second one that revolves around my near future...two weeks from now...was the bull. Looking that up...it basically means my enemies talking smack. It'll probably be Dixon or Duck Boy. Yes, I'm rolling my eyes as I write this, too...just in case you're rolling your eyes while reading it, Professor....Then I ended strong with the Glass. It was talking about integrity and such...and I actually think that's kinda fitting for me. I do have integrity...but sometimes I reaction in ways that are less than honorable. Bee fusses at me for it so bad. Maybe this ready was reminding me that I need to work harder on that...

Food for thought.

After getting that jotted down and written out, he cleared away all the tea things and pulled his guitar case. He hadn't played in so long...and to be able to enjoy it privately...was a real treat.

Carefully removing Lux from her case, Dylan strummed experimentally and sighed...

Yea, he was going to be up here a while...
