Beezus rashly wiped the wet hair that was on her face as she glared at the Head Boy, spitting cold lake water as she still alternated between splashing water towards him and paddling with her arms and feet to keep herself on the water's surface.

Merlin. Oakey ALWAYS finds a way to bust her bubble.

"I-If....you wanted to drown yourself.......y-you didn't.....ne-need to brrrring me along, y-you know..." The water was too cold. In fact, Beezus was now trying to swim towards the dock and heave herself out of those waters. She was so going to get sick again because of what he'd done.
