Hogwarts RPG Name: Eliza Neladara Dawnsel Fifth Year | Divination HW - Afternoon Reading - Post 2 SPOILER!!: Ethan! Quote:

Maybe it was the tea that pushed him to procrastinate. Ethan had never been a big tea drinker, surprisingly enough, but it was even worse , now with that cheap, horrid tea that he had to use thanks to the lovely budget cuts.
But terrible tea or not, Ethan knew he had to get this done so when Eliza asked him to join him for a reading, he was more than eager to meet her. He grabbed some of the tea leaves and dumped them into his favorite coffee mug from home and headed out to the corridor that led to the courtyard. He tightened his cloak around him as he neared, the air growing crisper as he neared the corridor closest to the frigid outdoors. Spotting the younger Claw perched on the window ledge, he gave her a grin as he approached, and joined her on the makeshift seat. "Hey, Eliza.. ready to divine a few leaves?" Eliza looked up when she heard the soft drumming of feet on the stone walkway, knowing it must have been Ethan coming to join her. She was pleased to see she was correct. "Hi Ethan!"I sure am! she chimed happily as he sat with her on the ledge. She pulled her baggie of loose tea leaves out from her bag and waved them at Ethan. "I hope you like Oolong. My mom sent it," she said with a smile and sprinkled some into her hot water and let it steep while they chatted.
She was quiet while the tea settled in and tried to think of a question she wanted to ask. The water seemed to have cooled down a little now, so she carefully strained it through her teeth and enjoyed the full flavor of the blend. This is sooo much better than that stuff in class, she thought, taking another long drink from her cup. She watched as Ethan did the same, and she wondered what his question would be. She really didn't have anything specific she was wondering about, so her mind drifted to general ponderings - like 'How will the rest of my school year go' or 'Will this be a good year for me' and things like that.
After she'd nearly drank the whole thing, she swirled the cup around three times like her notes had said, flipped it upside onto the saucer, then sat it back upright to view the shapes. She was a pretty imaginative person, but sometimes it was hard for her to see shapes right away. She opened her textbook as a reference and looked to Ethan. Maybe he's good at this, she thought. "Do you see anything in yours?" she asked, peeking into his cup.
She looked back to her own and focused. Maybe that looked like a rabbit on the middle. And that on the rim there...it sort of looked like a flower to her. Like a lily or maybe a tulip... There were some speckles all over the place and some clumps didn't look like much of anything, but there on the bottom she could sort of make out a bird with its wings out. There looked like there were a few crescent moons in several places, but any blip of tea would vaguely look like that, now wouldn't it?
