She walked over to the two figuring a certain badger had some explaining to do. "Hey dude, how'd you sneak a thestral so far?" She asked as a casual greeting because 'hi's were overrated.

Then her attention turned to the seemingly shaken creature. Slowly, cautiously, she reached a hand toward it but didn't dare touch it until she received some reaction. "You alright...you seem a bit...shaken..." And VERY MUCH out of place.
