"How exactly does one go about harvesting ashwinder eggs?" he asked, mostly for curiosity's sake since, well, he was going to need to transport and care for them and his creature goods handling was a bit rusty.
Derry nodded and smiled, two galleons. Ten pounds. More than she'd ever had at any one point in her life... even pocket money wise. She didn't need much money really... other than for getting into the common room, but to sell them for less would be an insult to the poor ashwinder who had poofed so that they could be created.
"Well, you use floo powder to create a magical fire, and you wait for an ashwinder to come out of it, then we had to follow the ash trail that it left into the forest and wait. Then the ashwinder goes... 'poof'" She made little hand movements.
"And collapses into all this ash and leaves eggs behind. But they're really hot so you have to use the freezing charm to be able to collect them, then you put them in jars and... voila." Yep,
learning.
