HOLISTIC ACTRESS {X O} EVERYTHING IS CONNECTED She had gone in and faced this thing once before. Yeah, that was true but she didn’t like how it had gone down. She didn’t feel strong in facing her fear – and maybe she realized it wasn’t projecting her actual worst fear ever. That somewhere deep down she knew there was something far worse than little creepy crawly things.
She was confidently walking into the room when she first came to the door, and now, her feet were slowing. Her eyes glued to that trunk as she saw it rattle at her, She didn’t want to lose people, to lose friends. That had been going on in her mind for days. Repeating and growing on her as she thought about it she knew she didn’t want to lose any friends…or anyone.
But there were other things she feared as well, friends realizing she wasn’t a good friend and leaving her behind. Friends saying hurtful things, and friends, people she thought were her friends not really being friends at all. She glanced at the trunk and swallowed.
Lets do this. She thought but in the back of her mind she kept thinking that she could just turn around and leave. Her mind kept going back to turning away to leaving she had already done this and a part of her hoped it would be a spider. But the trunk rattled some more.
She stepped forward and began to press her hand against the trunk’s lid. As she did it seemed to jump and rattle. She gasped and stepped back in time to watch it open. Her eyes were wide with shock as she saw the human form of friends – friends from school, friends from the past, and friends that had probably been in this room earlier today step out of the box.
One of them – her best friend…he just stood there and looked through her and then laughed. A cold laugh that was similar to one she had heard long before – well, not that long before. It was over summer. The look on the boys face was like his too.
“Oh please…” the Bogart friend spoke his voice was like ice and poison – “you really thought I was your friend.” He laughed that cold laugh again. “You are nothing, you…aren’t even worth the energy” it hissed at her.
She felt the fear and tears bubbling up inside of her. But a part of her knew this couldn’t be true. They would never say this – no, never. She knew this wasn’t real. She knew it was the bogart picking up on her fear of it. Her fear of losing friends and so she focused on something funny.
“Riddikulus” she called out her voice stronger this time. The boy standing in front of her suddenly transformed reshaped even. He was now standing there like an entirely different person. Same face – same eyes, but the main difference was that that friend now looked like a girl. In a dress and everything. The hair had changed a bit to be honest – it was longer and there was make up.
And it was actually quite funny – it was a good friend as he would have been if born a girl instead of a boy. And that was a little bit comical to begin with. “Oh…you don’t make a pretty girl do you?” Mika chuckled as the bogart went back into the trunk. She had successfully faced her demons.
