"I have lots of skills, sir, although I don't know that chanting is one of them." Mo offered up the two jars of eggs, with ribbon, to the professor. "D'you suppose I can come visit you and Feo in your office soon, sir? I have some questions... about runes. Like..." Mo leaned in and gave Botros a very solemn look. "Like if there are runic protection charms for your heart. And liver, obviously too. All those organs."
He really shouldn't say stupid things. And he should let the professor escape while he could. "Enjoy your purchase, professor. GET YOUR ASHWINDER EGGS RIGHT HERE." Botros leaned extra low to get close to the boy who seemed about to utter some super serious stuff. "Uh-huh. Of course, of course. I'll do my research." He nodded, being serious and solemn back, and trying to imitate the bro!pound thing. "Thank you, Marco." And then there was shouting and Botros winced as his ear piece shrieked in response. Quote:

Just good enterprising skills, obviously. Very good ones, or she wouldn't be in the middle of a sale right now. "Tell you what, Marci. If you purchase.. say.. two of my jars, maybe? Then I'll give you my hat, free of charge and everything, no extra payment. It's a total bargain," she offered, tapping her egg cap again for good measure and adjusting the bill. Botros got a little wink from her, just so that he knew that she was handling it WELL, and then she turned back to his granddaughter. "So. D'you want it or what? It's yours if you do." Marci's eyes didn't leave the hat, the girl even tapped it and made it go askew so attractively on her brunette hair! Marci wanted it noooow! It'd look even MORE attractive on her golden hair, she clapped her hands, the jars she was holding already dangerously rattled together, "OKAY! I think it's a very reasonable bargain. I should've just come over to you in the first place before talking to all those students, the boy over there did tie ribbons around my jars as I wanted so I guess he is a good vendor but you have a cap with cute little egg on!" She cooed and fished out ten galleons, slamming them on the table. "Agreed! I think if there was some sort of party here in Hogsmeade tonight, it'd be egg-themed. And I would be the only one who has the accessories for it, don't you think? More egg jars aren't really a problem, I already need loads to do my experiments. If your eggs turn out to be as good as the jars, I'll share whatever profits I get from selling my invention. Thank you for the hat and the jars, it was nice meeting you!" She flashed a bright smile to the girl and ducked her head to have the hat placed on top. Botros grinned at the Captain and clapped twice for her, "Kudos, Captain Fischer. Another multi talented kid." He opened his mouth to say something else when Marci nudged him again and began another story about her and Stephanie when they went to this fake Weird Sisters concert. He waved goodbye to the Captain and walked away with his granddaughter, shoulders hunched over in defeat. |
