"But I also wanna live out my dreams or whatever.. while I'm young and stuff. I really wanna do this." He wanted to go to raging parties, and see an American football game, and run around campus dressed as a superhero. And that all sounded kinda selfish. Everything was about him, and what he wanted to do. His head bowed, like a dog that had done wrong. It's a wonder that SHE hadn't split up with HIM by this point.

"What do you wanna do? If you could do anything right now, anywhere?" As in 'living out dreams, not 'pummeling Paulie for moving to Cali and breaking up with her.' "Did ya wanna come to America with me?" Even though he was very aware of her sentiments towards her home country, it was worth a shot.
