So this was much nicer.
She bounced forward on the balls of her feet subconsciously in excitement, almost going in for a pseudo-snuggle, but not quite. "I've got so much to tell you. And so much to ask." Of course, Alice always started with her agglomeration of questions, so that was coming first. "How've you been? How's Quidditch going? Your first game's in a month, right? Is it around when I'm off school? Can I come see?"
She paused to take a deep breath before continuing on rapid-fire. "I really think you should get your dog a litterbox, and Dora and I are okay, and so is Jake, and I still haven't used any of your knuts 'cause Oakey's cuss jar is plentiful." One last break and she could finish saying it all, yeah? "And you cannot kick the Headmistress in the face, sorry, I still don't think you should give up on people but you can if you want, and I handled stuff. The other stuff."
And. "Also. I've missed you. Like, so much that I'll even give you a partial hug. Voluntarily and everything."
Yes, that was Biter. She could tell from all of the weaving and pushing and blatant disrespect of everyone else around her. Look how adorable she was, Selina had missed her so much. Abusing the people around her. So much pride.
When she finally reached Selina, Biter KIND OF HUGGED HER, so she wrapped her arms around her in a hug and laughed,
"HELLO BITER!" Because they were doing the yelling thing right now and she only had so much time with her. Might as well make it count.
And in normal Biter fashion, she was suddenly swept up in a sea of never-ending questions. Merlin, that had no changed a bit. So, she took a deep breath and did flash round of answers,
"I'm good. Quidditch is good. My first game IS in a month," and she was extremely nervous about it, but that was for another day,
"It's not when you're off school, no. So you can't see, but I got you tickets for our match over winter holiday." They were hers if she wanted them.
"Bay is not getting a litter box. Good, good and great." She chuckled,
"I'll consider the Headmistress thing." Oh, awkward pause. The redhead was NOT going to answer that one question,
"Oh you handled stuff? Is stuff good now?" Hopefully, because she had more kicks in her arsenal if it wasn't.
She gave Biter a small smile,
"I've missed you too, kiddo."
