Kind of perfect. Alec really liked the sound of those words, actually. But mainly the idea of this being 'perfect'. "Yeah? I'm really glad it does," GRIN. Except... "Erm... you didn't have any other plans today, did you?" Because he had sort of just asked her to come along without checking if it was okay with her first.

Alec reached up a hand to ruffle his hair absent-mindedly, his eyes still on the box on the table. ... Maybe he needed to stop doing that. The hair ruffling, that is. There really wasn't anything to be ner- "You okay?" he asked, tilting his head to the side, slightly. Because, when his eyes tore away from the gift to look up at her, it was only to notice that the girl was looking back at him.

Nodnod. "That distance thing over the summer wasn't... great," ... It sucked, actually. And it was weird not knowing whether he could go over to her house or not. Whereas here at Hogwarts, he knew that if he saw her in the common room, he was more than welcome to greet her. ... He was, right? ... Moving on... "Anytime!" GRIN. "Yeah, I really like it! And I'll wear it all the time!" And the quietness of her voice only made him want to kiss her even more... but... instead... he gently squeezed her hand back. And grinned some more.

She loved it! Like actually loved it! Which was different to just liking something, yeah? "I'm really glad you do! Erm... do you want me to put it on you?" Unless she didn't want to wear it, that is. That was cool too. "I love you too, Ells!" GRIN.

... Food! Right. Alec nodded and looked down at the menu, scanning the list quickly. This... was probably something he should have looked at before. Yeah. Especially since there were a lot of things on the menu and the girl wanted anything. "Well... do you want to go with something to do with ice cream or something else entirely?" ... And was that apple crumble on the list? GRIN.
