Clement felt like he should be saying something now. But he couldn't really figure out what to say. He was still thinking about the fact that Kat liked him back. Because it was a good feeling. It made the last few months of awkwardness worth it. Because she hadn't rejected him. Well not yet. He hadn't exactly asked her anything yet. He smiled at her again. "Pretty with a big ego..." He teased, grinning at her now. He kind of liked her ego though. It was nice to see a girl who knew she was pretty.
"No...no need to repeat." He mused, shaking his head. He got it loud and clear, and he really liked it. He rolled his eyes at her next words. "That you do Hudson." He teased, poking her cheek gently. "I'd appreciate less of it..." He murmured, taking a step closer to her. "It would be nice to be able to read you more easily..." Because boy did she confuse him so much.
So with that done, Kat wondered if he had anything else to say. Maybe none now, cos there didn't seem to be anything else to talk about... unless he needed help with homework or whatever. Maybe she could help him a bit with them, but right now Kat wasn't motivated to do any homework. Yeah, I know... lazy. Why? Was there anything else to talk about? Talk about Quidditch and the team roster, whatever they could talk about so that they didn't have to slip back into the awkward zone. Wait... excuse me? Kat eyed Cle for a while and crossed her arms. "
Who you calling pretty with a big ego?" Whether it was or was not, Kat sort of took that was an insult. Apologise now.
No need of repetition. Okay, cool. He had perfect hearing sense which, if he didn't, would be a problem since Kat would have to repeat what she said (and she didn't want to repeat it because once was already enough). When Cle poked her cheek, Kat resist the urge to bite his finger.
Stare. "
I could've bit you, just so you know," Kat pointed it out. No poking. And she heard what he murmured. "
Sorry, I can... put the straight face away and smile then?" she said and smiled at him.
There, smile. See? A real one at that.
