That whole paying thing was still incredibly stupid, but Alice coughed up an extra coin from Oakey and slipped through them, levitating her vacuum in before herself and setting it next to Penelope. After nodding at Shark Bait's proposition, she began vacuuming the armchairs as well, and near the large window, seeing as she spent so much time looking out of it and at things. "Vacavus."

Following a while of sucking, she was just turning back to Penelope and getting ready to suggest the go upstairs. "Do you want to go into the do- oomf." Alice kind of sort of tripped over the hose, face planting into the ground, hand still wrapped around the nozzle and pointing it under the arm chair. And it was one no one had cleaned under yet, so she was going to leave it there, too, until she heard hisses coming from under it.

"Is.. is that..?" Oh! Oh, it was a cat, and a familiar one, too. Why wasn't it getting out from under there so she could vacuum, though? Alice could see Spot, Penelope's little feline, pawing at the rug on the other side of the armchair, but it didn't seem to be going anywhere, and it took her a moment to realize that its tail was kind of stuff in her hose. "Finite!" She practically beat the hose with her wand, stopping it as quickly as she could and tugging the nozzle off of her.

And revealing a hairless cat tail.
