Alice knew how dirty the place under her bed was? Penelope didn't question this though. Maybe they were all pretty obviously dirty under the beds. Penelope tried to avoid the dorms as much as she could anyway, so she didn't pay much attention to whether there was dirt and dust under the beds. So she'd just nodded at that and let the topic drop.

And now that they were both done and Alice had given the password, she levitated her vacuum through the portrait hole first then clambered through after it. She gave the turnstiles a knut and then went through with her vacuum levitating again before setting it on the ground near a group of armchairs. Merlin, there was a lot of dust around these things.

"Let's just clean up some of the common room and move on to the dorms." It would take forever to clean the whole common room AND the dorms. And Penelope didn't want to waste ALL day doing this.

"Vacavus." Another tap on the hose, and she was sucking up more dust and hair and whatever else might hang out on and around the armchairs...even under them.

Merlin's beard, was that a chewed-gum-filled Drooble's Best Blowing Gum wrapper under this one?! Gross. She did not even want to know how that got there.
